I have noticed that many of the REO’s/As is properties have some sort of Foundation issues. Some have large vertical cracks from the basement ceiling to the basement floor, others have horizontal basement wall cracks. Is one a larger issue than the other. Are these deal breakers. Basically if I walk down stairs and see these cracks should I leave. Our, if there is no moisture issue do you just frame it up, and drywall over it and forget it if you purchase it. If you do work up a price for a home that has cracks etc, how do you know how much to discount the properties.
I believe anything can be fixed ,or hidden
