Investors have known about it for a while, but they had a news story yesterday about the number of tax foreclosures in East Austin. The area is appreciating so rapidly that many homeowners are losing their properties. 60% of June’s courthouse foreclosures were in East Austin and they were the homes with the most bids. Many times, these owners are only behind 3k or so on the tax payments.
