I have two large For Rent signs I want to post along a major road that passes the neighborhood my rental is in. The speed limit is 50 mph but there is an intersection where two major roads meet. The signs I bought at Office Max are about 24Wx20H and have a large FOR RENT in huge letters. I can write in a space about 4 inches high and 18 inches wide. So what would you write? Obviously a phone number. My single family house is a 4 bedroom 2 bath. I’m not really wanting to write the rent on there in case I have to change it up or down in the future. Maybe I use some of the FOR RENT area and put duct tape and write the rate on that? What works for you?
I would fill the entire blank space with the phone number!
Good Luck,
Mike
I take it you aren’t getting the response you expect from the signs.
Is it difficult for people to get on or off to drive by the property? Or dangerous if they do?
If you want to get people to stop and look closer put the words “FREE RENT” on the sign, then allow them to rent for 12 months at and getth thirteeth month free. You can raise the price of the rent over the 12 months to cover the “free” month.
It really doesn’t matter what you do at that point, as I live by this motto when renting:
the whole purpose of our advertizing is to get the people to call, the whole purpose of a call is to get them to look at the apartment, the whole purpose of showing them the apartment is to get them to fill out an application, and the whole purpose of the application is to see if you can rent to them.
I Only put in my Cell phone Contact number - Works fine.
