Florida investors:
I am moving to Florida and am looking to buy a new construcion home for “investment” purposes. My current home in the DC area appriciated SIGNIFICANTLY in only 8 months of living there…and I can’t help but be tempted to do it again!
My question is, what towns/areas between Naples and Tampa are the fastest growing and most profitable? We have a home in Riverview, but I would like to invest on or near the gulf.
Thanks!
I live in Fort Myers, and if you are looking for pre-construction housing, Cape Coral is just booming right now. Be careful though as there have been a few fly by night developers that cashed in and left homes half built. I personally invest in mostly waterfront properties and in the Clearwater Area. Naples is a very high end city (Collier County) and most of the new growth is moving North into Fort Myers, homes have appreciated quit high in this area. Be careful of the Lehigh acres area, many are saying this a a future hot area, but there is not much of a draw as it is too inland. Unfortunetly this will be a middle lower class populated area, so possible duplex investing could be good, but there is a ton of undeveloped land so competion could be fierce.
I am originally from Brooksville, Florida and now live in Maryland. I maybe moving back to Florida in the next couple of years. I am trying to get Florida contacts and resources. I am also interested in what are good investments in Florida. I too am going to move back to the Tampa area. My partner and I do investments here in Maryland so we would like to have investments here and in Florida. Any information would be appreciated.
Feel free to look at my past posts on what i have done in the area. I heard the Maryland/DC area was exploding with growth, is that true?
