It all depends on the rent. HOA doesn’t matter if the property doesn’t cash flow.
Also what does the HOA include? some of them don’t include insurance for example.
I had one where insurance was included …then there was a fire and insurance was like another $80 a month or something crazy, and it had to be paid in addition to the HOA.
$50 seems way low for an HOA…I would wonder if they are doing any maintanance on the building. Some luxury buildings have very high hoas because they have doormen, gyms, ETC
