What a great show. I’m glad A&E started following around professional investors instead of a different amateur flipper every episode. I was disappointed that they aren’t covering the North Carolina crew this season, but the San Antonio crew is growing on me, and I’m still learning a lot from the show.
What show is this? I’ve never heard of this show. Sounds interesting.
The old crew is moving to TLC.
It’s a reality show on A&E that follows a team of professional real investors, who buy, renovate, and flip houses. You get to see the process from start and finish – very informative and entertaining.
Oooh that’s great news. Any idea when the show’s airing and what it will be called?
I emailed him through his website and asked him. He e mailed me back to my suprise and said he was shooting as we spoke and the new show did not have a name but will debut in the spring. I posted the e-mail in another thread dedicated to the show.
I wish he would write on book on how he got started.
Are you talking about Richard from Trademark Properties in South Carolina?
If so, I’d love to hear the story about how he got started, too. I do know in one episode where he renovated campus housing at Clemson, he mentioned that was where he went to school and learned about real estate.
Yes, I was talking about him. He is a good person from what I can see.
Are you a good person?
I am trying now. But I have done horrible things and want to get past it and be a better person. It is an everyday struggle. It is hard to explain.
You gotta let it all out bro.
I know. I will.
you all may want to check into this website i found sounds like A&E and trademark didn’t agree on some stuff in the end a lawsuit was filed

I caught what I think was an older episode lst week. It was a black guy. I have not seen him before. Anyhow, I like him but he has a guy under him who is borderline incompitent. He had an excuse for everything that hid did wrong and never accepted any blame. He needs to be fired.
The problem with these programs is that they only focus on the rehab process – “Hey, look what I did! This house looked like crap before, now look at the ‘after’ pictures!”
I’m more interested in how they acquired these properties at deep discounts, and how they arranged the financing for construction, rehab and holding costs.
They tend to gloss over those details.
I watched it a few times and agree with you Beemnseven they should show more of that.
Fixing the property is the easy part selling it and finding them is where the skill comes in.
To me after buying properties and doing this so many times watching them fix them up is alot like watching the grass grow, the air compressor fill up. or the ice in your drink melt. VERY BORING!
These types of shows SHOULD bore any experienced investors…because they WON’T show the ‘tricks’ that were used to acquired and/or finance the properties that they show. Like reo said…they show only the easy parts!
I wouldn’t put my techniques on national TV either if I felt like I had a good thing going…so I think these shows are meant to peak the interest of those who no little or nothing about wholesale flipping at all.
For those of us who do, we’d be better served just watching reruns of the A-Team!!!
Marcoz,
You nipped in the bud. I totally agree with you. I have seen this show and it spike the interest to get into REI but doesnt tell you the difficult stuff like how they research a property and so forth.
I am more into watching NICK since kids like to watch TV with me…
Damned that sponge bob square pants…
