Finding homes for wholesale in the city -- NYC

I’m eager to go out and start my first deal…the only problem is I live in NYC and homes are not really homes but apartments, condos, and the such. How do I go about my search? Any help is appreciated. Also, what source should I use for finding a suitable property? Once again, any help is truly appreciated and I look forward to the first of many deals.

You should buy a mailing list of homeowners who have high equity and low to no mortgages. These are where most of the wholesale opportunities lie within. Or you can always fire off offers on bank owned property. Good luck.
