I just bought a house at sheriff’s auction and my bank needs the abstract to approve the loan. However, they say they need to create a new one which is pricey and takes an estimated 4 to 6 weeks. I’m sure there is an existing one. What is the best way to hunt down the existing abstract. Reaching the previous owner is not really feasible (she’s in jail). Any ideas??
