We are doing our 1st rehab with intentions of selling house. Very small 3 BR, 1 BA - 1,000 square foot home with Comps at $130. Current hook-up is for Gas Stove. These are running $200 + higher than electric. Which is more appealing to the average consumer? Is it worth adding electrical hook-up which is a wash in costs? Thanks for your feedback!
It’s probably more appealing to most to have electric, although I’m not sure why. Gas cooks much better.
When I had my personal home built I paid extra to have a gas stove put in.
I personally prefer gas. Gas and electric stoves are within a few bucks here at Lowes and Home Depot. I would stick with what ever the property has otherwise you will be re-wiring electric and/or re-piping the gas. When you do that it will quickly close the price difference!
