how will this bailout affect those of us investing in preforeclosures. i myself am dealing primarily with shortsales…will these decline dramtically?

I don’t see a dramatic decrease coming. Some percentage will refi, but only certain folks will qualify. The coming defaults on Alt-A borrowers is supposed to dwarf the sub-primes. Also, the rising unemployment rate will affect borrowers of all types. The Govies do not have the means to do much to slow the coming wave.
