Any advice on good “legit” education strategies for investors? Please no Neavue Riche!!!
I’m a seasoned investor but found this site not too long ago and found it to be a wealth of info…I spent about 60 hours one week reading all the posts I could, learning what others did and how they did it, and learned some strategies that I was never involved in before (sub2’s, etc.)…
If I were you, I’d block out 100 hours somewhere, read all you can, and learn how others got into the business, the first steps they did, the stumbles they had along the way, the great moves they made, the strategies that worked/didn’t work for them, and learn from that…
Since you’re new, you also need to decide if you want to flip, hold, birddog, etc…After reading posts on those subjects you may be able to decide, based on your financial situation, talents, time, etc. which would work better for you…
Keep a pen and paper nearby to write down the suggested readings, sites, etc. to visit and then check those out…That 100 or so hours or so that you’ll spend will be well spent for you…Then take a trip to the library or Ebay and get the readings that may be of interest for you and learn even more…
Then once you decide on a strategy for yourself, and can make a basic plan of attack, feel free to post questions about specific situations you run into…The people here will be more than happy to answer specific questions for you…
You’ll also find in the posts a lot of references to the local REI meetings…Go to them, develop your contacts, and you’ll be off and running…
Then later, you can become an expert here to advise the other newbies coming in… :biggrin
