Can anyone recommend a good title company in the Chicago area that does double closings on a short sale? I don’t need the 2nd to fund the first since I have money in place to buy the short sale from the lender.

Try to find a title company underwriten by Stewart Title. I am in down state IL and the only title co. I could find to do a double close on a short sale was underwritten by Stewart Title in Chicago.
Make sure you have a good RE attorney as well.

I am in the Chicagoland area, I know that Stewart Title was shutting offices all over the area, so not sure they are still around.
The easiest thing to do is simply start calling title companies and asking them. No need to make it more difficult, just simply ask them.
