Does anyone else like Tyler Hicks?

Personally, I like his books and his style. What is your opinion?

I thought you were referring to Taylor Hicks from American Idol.

I do love that show. I can’t believe people continue to humilate themselves on TV, oh wait, that’s right it’s TV. Most folks will do anything for the spotlight, me included.

Hicks is OK…his books are pretty good. He personally seems a little “cranky”…a bit of an old crumudgeon.

Who cares if anybody else likes him or not? Is it his book or course that is going to make the difference between you reading/learning about REI and actually making the move to DOING REI?

That is the only thing that is important about anybody’s book, course, email, etc., etc.

Just Wondering if anyone else got started based on Hicks Info like I did.

Hey, I’m sure that there out there big guy.

Look at Sheets. How many dumb jokes and bad put downs have there been on that guy? How many snide remarks and major flaming posts? Yet, how many have made a million doing what he is teaching (or at least started in REI because of his work)?

Hicks was just as big at one time.

I just read “209 spare time ways…” I wasn’t blown away at anything he said; still it was a good conversational read. I really enjoyed the feedback letters and the neat little way he laid out the action plan. I ordered two more of his titles from Amazon.com.

I was totally turned off by one of his books to the point that I actually took it back to the bookstore and demanded a refund. I spent $16.00 on his book and on every page (ok, every other) there was a plug to send him more money so he’d send you stuff so you could learn from him. Wasn’t that why I bought his book? To learn from him? I just gave him money to learn from him so teach me something before asking for more!

Anyway. I returned it and got some books by Conti/Finkel. I thought they were excellent. I’ve read a bunch of REI books now by different authors and am at the point where I just need to get off my duff and DO IT.

Shemin’s books are good, as of course are Robert Kiyosaki’s entire line for getting you motivated in the first place.
