I have been getting my deals from doing all the research myself at the courthouse. I looked into some websites that offer the information I look for instantly. My best options so far look to be Realty Trak and Foreclosuresdaily.com. Does anyone else use these service? Just looking from some input before I spend these kind of dollars. I am in Florida :help
Do a search for those companies on this board. There have been a fair number of threads about them. Most seem to view those companies as not worth the money.
All their listings are 3 to 4 months out of date.
You’re already getting the most up to date information you can by going yourself. If you don’t have time for that, pay someone else to do it, it’ll probably work out cheaper than the sites, and be a lot more reliable.
I agree, I had signed up for Realtytrac and didn’t find it useful. It’s all outdated. They offer a free trial week if you’d like to check out it.
I also tried realty-trac, their info is REALLY outdated. As an appraiser, i have access to several databases that i checked against what they were trying to say was “good” information/details on the properties, the info was not correct or current. I did the free trial for 2 hours while i ckecked out the info on a few houses and then cancelled it. If you do go for the “free trial”, make sure you cancel before the 7 day deadline or they will charge the credit card you needed to provide to activate the “free trial”. Good luck!!
If you do a search of the forums, as Lorik responded, you will find that the consensus is that all of the websites are outdated and charge way to much.
If you are serious about investing opportunities, nothing beats going to the local courthouse and doing the research.
yea, but i was a member for a month and they have bad service. some of the leads they had were good, but a couldn’t find any of their leads that were about to go in to auction in any of the list at the court house.
I’m not saying forclosures.com has bad leads, but personally i used the website and now I’m not a member.
