does a notice of foreclosure

get recorded? I cant seen to find any.

My title company emails me every month with a list of the new pre-foreclosures in my county. Maybe you could talk to your title company and see if they offer such a service!

By foreclosure do you mean a notice of default or lis pendens?

What state are you in?

Yes…it is a “Notice of Default” list. I have found that if an investor wants to buy foreclosures, it’s best to do that long before the sheriff’s sale, and to deal with the owner directly. Not only does this benefit the owner by keeping them from foreclosure and ruining their credit (not to mention allowing the investor to free up some cash for moving costs and a new start for the property owner), but it prevents the investor from having to pay cash on the spot for the property.
I live in Oregon.
