A note broker just told me that I needed a liscence to create notes (to owner finance people). This is the first I have heard of this! ANyone??
Sounds bogus to me. What form of license would you possibly need; real estate, series 7, medical, dental…? A note is simply a written agreement for repayment of a loan made between two parties, they are created all the time when an owner holds a second mortgage or finances the entire property value. My 2 cents but not located in PA.
a license to creat owner financing, huh?? I find that hard to believe. Just call a real estate attorney. They will (should) be able to answer this question immediately over the phone.
