Do I need an attorney to refinance

Wondering if I need an attorney to refinance my home. Any know if I can do this pro-se and if so, what will I need to exactly? Do I need to draw up the mortgage?

All you need is a lender or mortgage broker. They do all of the work. That’s what they get paid to do. They run your credit report and usually need 1-3 years (usually depends on how good/bad your credit is) of W-2’s and a current paystub.

The LAST person you want is an attorney. If your credit is good, find a direct lender and it will be relatively inexpensive. If you go through a broker, expect to pay additional costs including his fee.

What state are you in? I’d be happy to point you in the right direction…
