I Have been a Property Manager and and a AAA Association member for 20 years. I have started by own business, and I would like to manage a 16 unit community, with an onsite office for the new owner. I just wanted to know if I need to have a license, and if so would a Real Estate license be okay?or…woud I have to a brokers lisence??
I went to the TRC web site, and the FAQ stated that for apartments, as long as you are a property manager, and have an office on property, you do not have to have a license. Under Property Management part it states that you do. We will be managing the property directly for the owners, and the office will be onsitel.
I have been trying to call, but continuously get a busy signal. I just want to make sure, because the owner is getting ready to close on the property, and I have to make sure I can management it for him, I don’t want to leave him in a bind, its his first deal.
Thank you=)
