I was hoping that someone might be able to answer this question for me. Whihle conducting some research ont he internet, I found two sites (both of them in California) that offered “REO Services”. These services included property clean up, property management, and liquidation or selling REO’s. I was wondering whether or not they had to have special qualifications/certifications to conduct these services. More specifically, if I am not a realtor, could I market myself directly to a lender as someone who can help them sell REO properties? Any limimtations or special wording that I should consider? etc.
You need to contact your state Real Estate Commissioner’s Licensing Office to find out what the law allows unlicensed people to do, and what violates real estate law.

Thanks, I learned from another forum that you do not have to have a license to auction your property in Florida, However, it is nice to know where to go to verify the validity of information provided.
