Do you have to lawfully tell the seller of a property that you intend to assign the purchase agreement?

You tell him in the contract, where the Buyer is defined as “Mr John Doe, or assignee”. or something to that effect. I’ve even seen contracts with paragraphs that specifically state “This contract is assignable”.


Thanks for input… I have read that all contracts are assignable unless stated otherwise…But I state it in my contract that it is assignable…
