one of the homeowners i’ve been working with is trying to find out how much she owes on her mortgage. she is facing a sheriff sale in about two weeks…she asked the people at wells fargo how much she owes. according to her, they told her she has to go through the attorney’s office.
is there a quicker way to find this info out?
i know some banks have a automated system you can call.
Normally the bank could give the payoff. However, in this situation the attorney’s office will be adding fees for the foreclosure process. All she has to do is call them and they will tell her how much she needs to pay it off. Does she know the attorney’s office that is handling her foreclosure? The information you need is just a phone call away.
Huh? You are going to sit there and wait for a response here to get a quicker way to figure it out? By the time you got a response here you could have called the attorney 20 times. And besides, the attorney is ulimately who you have to call (which is what WF told you). If you don’t know who the attorney is call WF, ask them for the attorney’s name and number and give them a call.
just to clarify, this is what the homeowner told me. i was not the one to speak with WF, the homeowner was. she then proceeded to explain to me how the attorney’s office was going to get back to her.
since time is of the essence, i wanted to know if i could find this info out any quicker…or better yet, how she could find this info out quicker.
guess she’ll just have to wait on the attorney…which seem to be taking their sweet old time.
ryanpal,
Wells Fargo has the net owed on it’s monthly mortgage statements that come each month to the homeowner…Just tell your client to find her last mortgage bill…I know this because I have a mortgage through Wells Fargo on my primary residence…
