Please, has anyone used the Direct mail software by scott Rister? Is this software good? And whats the quality of the data supplied by the software. Also, is his program worth the $499?
Thank you
I’ve heard him pitch it. Some have been saying that the software has glitches in it that prevents it from operating correctly.
I don’t think it’s worth it. If you read through his description of his software, it sounds just like Microsoft word. You’d be better off spending a little time doing a mail merge in word…

I don’t know anything about that software, but I bought RealProspect a few weeks ago and wish I had bought it months ago!
I’m not the sort of person that can stay on top of spreadsheets and keeping up with doing mail merges and whatnot, I get disorganized and frustrated trying to do that consistently and I didn’t really have any sort of system for keeping information about prospects. So RealProspect helps me out a LOT because now I don’t have to try and remember when to mail what, I can import lists or add records individually and the software automatically puts them on to whatever mailing campaign I have set up for the type of lead it is, so all I have to do is hit “print” a few times a week and it prints out the next message in the series for whatever letters you are scheduled to mail out that day… PLUS you can keep track of the responses you get and can update each record with just about any information you could need to see a deal through… It’s helping me out a LOT.
I’ve got no affiliation with RealProspect, I’m just a happy (and grateful!) customer!
Hey Chris,
Is funny as I looked up that software last night and it got me intrigued. It looks like is got a lot of great things but another investing website said it had a few flaws, I guess there’s no such thing as perfect. Right now I use Excel of organize my leads but when business picks up , I might just pick that up.
Good luck!
Martin
It’s not perfect, I had some issues at first figuring out how to set up the letter templates (I’d create a new one and one that I had created already would disappear), but I haven’t had that problem since then so I think I was just doing something wrong.
What sorts of flaws did this other website mention? So far I’ve got nothing but good things to say about Real Prospect, it’s been a HUGE HUGE HUGE help for me keeping me organized and on track with my direct mail. That and the mail merge feature is a million times easier to use than the mail merge in the OpenOffice word processor.
When I signed up, the 1st month is only $1 and you can cancel after the first month I believe. I’d recommend it to ANYONE at least to try for a month.
