I have a question regarding owning several LLCs to distribute your properties in.
Starting from the beginning…you “John/Jane Doe” start your first LLC and are obviously the managing member to it. For arguments sake, let’s say you’re wanting to keep (2) properties per LLC. Now it’s time to form a second LLC to hold your 3rd and 4th properties. When you form that 2nd LLC do you put yourself as “John/Jane Doe” as the managing member, or do you put your original LLC as the managing member? Are there benefits/cons to do the latter? …and so on and so forth for the rest of the LLCs you plan to create in the future.
Thanks for your help!
