Deed question

Is there a difference between a Warranty Deed and a General Warranty Deed? I am in Michigan if it makes a difference.

Disclaimer: I’m no lawyer and I’m full of shit most of the time. On top of that I’m from Texas and not Michigan. I did not even sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Usually there is no difference. A General Warranty Deed covers pretty much every thing. A Special Warranty Deed has certain exceptions (which are covered by your title policy anyway). A Warranty Deed can be either since it doesn’t specify. But for all practical purposes, there isn’t much difference even with a Special Warranty Deed.
