dallas texas and their county site..preforeclosures filed?

hey guys, this is a question targeted mostly for those who use dallas texas county website.

their public records are accessible online, however i do not seee a “notice of default” document type to search for. it’s my understanding that TX is non-judicial and goes by notice of defaults, not lis pendens (right?). i do see a lis pendens search but this can be filed for numerous reasons.

anyone want to chime in here…i’m only interested in preforeclosures from this site

any help is appreciated.

In Texas you want to look for a notice of trustee sale and/or the appointment of a special trustee. I believe that you aren’t going to see anything ahead of time before a foreclosure date and time are set because Texas is a non-disclosure state and those late payment records are kept private.

do you mean that tx is a non-judicial state?

are you sure these records are “kept private”? what about the public information act?

can anybody verify this or shed some light on the subject?

bump…any takes?
