creating LLC??

Do I need a lawyer to establish my LLC or can I get the forms and do it myself? I’m in Ohio if that matters.

Thanks,

Cake

No, you do not need an atty.

They’ll charge you $1,000 for something you can do for yourself.

Or, if you are not comfortable with legal filings, you can find someone who can help you much much cheaper.

For example, I typically charge $200 for:

  1. the LLC
  2. Articles of Organization
  3. Tax elections as desired
  4. Taxpayer ID number
  5. Management Agreement
  6. Advice

whichever route you take, be sure you get a management agreement.

Like he says you need the articles of organization, tax id number and management agreement if you have partners. In CT its 60$ for me to set this all up. I got my paper work along with my tax id information back in about 1 week. Good luck

It will be different in your state but here’s a guide to forming an LLC that I used. It’s by an AZ attorney and is step by step! http://keytlaw.com/az/formllc.htm

Since you are in a different state, be sure to ask all the agencies you deal with if there is anything else you need to do.
