Howdy Jewels:
Does your area have a service that posts foreclosures on the internet or mails out a listing. Here in Travis county the service is $45 per month. The gas to the courthouse costs that much.
Most deed of trust counties posts the notices on a bulletin board near the front door of the courthouse 21 days prior to the 1st Tue of the month. Looking thru these is the best place to start. If you are not in a trustee state you may ask the clerk how to look up the Notice of Default postings. Their computer may be up to date with them. You can find out too what days the attorneys bring them in and hang out like a vulture. It will take more than one trip to get familiar with the the system. Also some of the info may be on line at your home computer.
