Does anybody have a copy of short sale package for Countrywide.
I called and requested a package and they told me all they needed was copy of last pay stub, purchase contract, hud-1, listing agreement, hardship letter. Did they change the requirements for the short sale pakage? Should I send in just what they asked for? I don’t want to send in an incomplete package? Everything I’ve read or heard is to send in tax records, bank statements, comps, etc.
Any thoughts?
If that’s all they asked for, then that’s all they asked for. I appreciate the attempt to be thorough, but why make your life harder?
Maybe they are so overwhelmed with deals that they are loosening up the documentation requirements…?
Couldn’t have said it any better…
Send them full short sale package, not just what they asked for. Also make sure to fax it to the right fax number.
I had a property where the rep only asked for income docs but by the time it got to the loss mitigator she said the short sale package was not complete and would not postpone the sale and the house went into foreclosure.
