Contractors Insured?

I have yet to flip my own house yet, but I read on here a couple weeks ago and cant seem to find it, but you should always check your contractor and make sure they have general liability insurance. If they ruin something in the house that way you are covered.

Do you guys get copies of their insurance, have them scan you a copy etc?

Hi,

It is property / construction insurance that pay's for accidental damages or vandalism to property. The contractor should have liability insurance but a contractor has to be neglegent and must be sued, the insurance company can then either choose to settle or force the trial to go through to be forced to pay damages!
