compensation for money investor

I have a property that I am working on getting. I have an investor that is going to put up the money and I take care of the rehab and resale. I am wondering what the normal compensation would be for this? 50/50 or something else.

I have normally heard of people doing it 50/50 but who says you can’t negotiate a better deal? Or maybe instead of partnering up with him see if he would consider being a hard money lender instead, and offer him 15% interest.
