Are there any good comparable property searches like realtors use on the internet? I’m not talking about the free services but a good full blown service. The reason I ask is I was listening to a Vena Jones CD and she mentioned a service that gives accurate comps but you have to pay about $450/year for the service. I can’t remember what the companies name was she had mentioned. I may just need to re-listen to that CD.
What state do you live in? If you live in a non-disclosure state, like Texas, about the only way to get comps for your area is to enlist the aid of a RE agent or appraisar. I’ve tried upteen different free and pay-to-use services online, and none of them were any good (for my area in Texas).
I’m in North Carolina
I am located in Pinellas county FL. I use Realquest.com, and I am also a realtor so I use MLS’s Realist which also pulls good comps. I would suggest Realquest.com for investors. You can set it up by which counties you want.
A few others are:
Zillow.com …Not very accurate yet
Property Appraisers Website for your County
Bank of America has comps on their website.
