Don’t take my word for it! Look him up at www.bbb.org
Buyer Beware!!!
…
All gurus have problems with the BBB. I am working with Chuck right now, and personally, he is a great guy whos course has really helped a lot of people including me.
…
Yeah, Chuck’s a great guy!
Every few months I get an email from him saying he’s doing the [shadow=red, left]“last bootcamp to be personally taught by Chuck Smith”[/shadow] and just Friday I got another email saying he’s doing yet another bootcamp (surprise, surprise).
Not exactly what I’d call a man of strong moral and ethical character.
Even in his course he tells students to lie in order to build a buyer’s list by running phoney ads in newspapers.
Now if his business model says it’s OK to lie to make money in real estate then do ya really think he’s gonna suddenly become honest when it comes to selling a real estate course?
If your answer is yes then I have 1830 beachfront houses in Arizona I’d love to sell you. Just give me your credit card and I’ll give it back to you when I’m done with it.
P. S. If you’re working for him you better check your wallet before you go home at night.
P. S. S. Check his police record too while you’re at it and see if ya still think he’s such a great guy.
I love the “Festivus” Season…especially the “airing of grievances” phase!

Tis the season to be _________, Fa La La La La…La La La La!
Remember the reason for the season! Happy Holidays everyone!
Sorry to vent…
I guess I share Charles Dickens view that I get no comfort and joy from people blinded by greed. Call me old-fashioned.
Happy Holidays!
I don’t know anything about Chuck, but I would suggest you rely less on BBB than on references.
The BBB is a self elected pay to play organization which is nothing more than a business that was set up to make money reporting on people who are foolish enough to join.
As I said, I don’t know Chuck or what he does but I do know that anytime someone is doing somthing larger than normal and is out there in the public eye, all kinds of people try to topple them.
In my entire 15 years of being engaged inthe mortgage business, I have had only one customer tell me that they would not do business with me because I was not a member of the BBB.
The BBB is a group of bullies that try to force businesses to pay to join them with threats of how it could hurt their business if they do not join. Personally, I do not appreciate bullies and wold never be par of an organization like that on pure conviction and principle.
If you want to investigate if hos program works satisfactorily, rather than ask him for some references, ask him for 5 or 6 references, each having a last name beginning with M.
A truly large organization will have no problem with that.
Bottom line… Don’t condemn Chuck for BBB reports. THat just means he’s moviing and shaking.
Codemn him if you do some true due dilligence and find him to be defective.
If you read some of my other posts you’d understand the BBB rating is just the tip of the iceburg with this guy’s questionable business practices.
Not only does he lie frequently in his advertising: “last bootcamp personally taught by Chuck Smith” he also instructs his students to lie. He was also busted by another website for using schills to boost his sales. Not exactly the kind of moving and shaking that a law abiding citizen would do.
By the way, I have done my due dilligence and found that no title company or courthouse in Cleveland can verify his person claims to “quick turning” 1830 houses. Could it be that he’s not honest about that either? Hmm…
Let’s review:
Strike 1: Rated Unsatisfactory by the BBB
Strike 2: Lies in advertising.
Strike 3: Tells students it’s OK to lie.
Strike 4: Busted for lying.
Strike 5: Can’t prove his outragous boasts about his own RE succuss.
Yep, I’m still giving him an unsatisfactory rating myself!
Hi there Bobby,
You obviously have a bad apple there.
My point was not about Chuck, I just have a big bone to pick with the BBB. (Big Business Bullies)
whoa there guys, you really dont know what your talking about, i bet none of you personally knows him,

If that’s not enough to get someone to steer clear of him, then I guess they deserve to lose their money.
Jeff
And what exactly is YOUR opinion of him based on? The tooth fairy? We might be more inclined to agree with you if you can provide some substantiation!

Whats my opinion!? My opinion on him is based on personal friendship, not only with him, but with his students, not with the toothfairy. And secondly, he is an honest guy, I am a private investor with one of his friends, he would do a deal with Chuck with a handshake. If you are so inclined not to agree with me just because of the scam called the BBB, then you have to do more due diligence on him, check out realestatecoursereviews.com, the only bad reviews are because he returned someones call a few days after they left the message.
I hope you see things more clearly now, if any more questions, just post and I’ll let you know what i can.

(Fake) realestatecoursereviews.com SELLS Chuck Smith’s products (for a percent of the profit, no doubt) and has frequently removed any negative posts about the guru including my own. I contacted the IFC and the FTC about that one.
Try Creonline.com and do a search for Mr. Smith (Carlton Sheets Discussion board) and you’ll hear a much different tale. They don’t sell his stuff so they don’t have any reason to love or hate him.
Reidepot.com and the Learning Annex also dropped this guy like a cheap hooker so it should be no surprise the Ohio attorney general has 3 complaints against him.
Not exactly someone I’d trust with my credit card number.
Well I trusted him with mine, and hes given my everything I payed for and more. Plus, the Bigger Business Bullies still are only in it for the money. You guys really dont have to believe me, but I am stating this as truth, and you are fighting against someone who has really nothing wrong.
beaver124
Just to let you know, I know Chuck Smith. That’s why I don’t trust him and I can’t recommend him. Why don’t you check his police record if you don’t believe me.
People, with all due respect.
WHO…GIVES…A…CRAP…ANYMORE?
BobbyDog, you hate the guy, fine.
beaver124, you love the guy, fine.
This thread has been here sense December. DECEMBER for crying out loud!
Either get a life or at least find something else to fixate on, and for God’s sake someone please lock this thread!
