CHINA.........It's 1920 all over again......But with a twist.

I find it interesting that CHINA is experiencing almost EVENT for EVENT what the USA faced when WE had our industrial revolution.

Case in point…

Compare the latest STRIKE…Yea…You read that right…L A B O R S T R I K E in communist CHINA!!! This occured at a HONDA PLANT…
Almost the same situation that occured in FORD’s factory when it’s workers took over the plant and STOPPED WORKING in the early 20th century.

It seems all those FORMER FARMERS in China aren’t as PATIENT as our grandfathers were…At FOXCONN a group of workers that wanted RAISES all decided to commit SUICIDE TOGETHER!!!

China always spins on a slightly different axis than everywhere else…
In China the new fad is running into kindergartens and butchering innocent children with meat clevers…It seems the Chinese are also FOND of SETTING THEMSELVES ON FIRE if a bank threatens to FORECLOSE on their home!!! (I’d be a very busy Firefighter if AMERICANS decided to follow that lead!)

So here’s the QUESTION…

What happens to CHINA’S ECONOMY when they are NO LONGER the LOW COST producer of goods???

They don’t INVENT anything there…

They don’t ENGINEER new products there…

They don’t MANAGE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY there…

They just MANUFACTURE THINGS the USA invents or WANTS!

So where does that leave them when those PRODUCTS move on down the line to VIET NAM, or INDIA, or any other “FUTURE low cost provider of labor”???

I’ll tell you EXACTLY where that leaves them…

S C R E W E D!!!

Don’t sell the good ole USA short folks…E V E R!!!

The IDEA is too good here…Sure we have POLITICS get in the way every few DECADES…But just as it did when CARTER screwed this country up…There’s a REAGAN out there somewhere that will push it the other way…Maybe that person is a Tea Party candidate…A centerist…A BUSINESS PERSON. It’s a pendulum…Swings one way, then comes back the other.

I see a BRIGHT future for this country…Sure we have some REAL PAIN to work through, but NO WAY on EARTH China takes our place…

NOT HAPPENING.

Great point, and dead on the Reagan scenario. As painfull as it is,I feel we needed this hard push to show us in full speed where we were headed anyway.Kinda like the slow boiling theory.

I listened to Donald Trump the other day on Fox business. He said he was shown a list of furniture for a new building and noticed none of them were made in america. He said “bring me a new list of companies that build this here”.There was one in North Carolina. He said"It costs more, but I said order it because it’s ridiculous to buy stuff from China, then they loan us back that money and charge intrest,we have the dumbest leaders in govt".

The people are wide awake.Too bad they needed a full demonstration of what’s been slowly happening all along. But I guess as long as the car’s running, most don’t pay attention to the smoke cloud it’s making behind it.Well it’s time for an overhaul, and it begins in November.

It doesn’t do much good to put on the brakes once you’ve gone over the cliff. We’re past the point of no return and our country WILL collapse. However, I’m also bullish on the future - the post revolution future, when we have gotten back to the principles that made the USA great. No more welfare. No more SSDI. No more medicare. No more Section 8. No more corporate handouts. No more Federal Reserve.

The USA is teetering on the precipice. One trigger (likely created by Osama Obama) and it’s over. I’m still predicting 2012, but it could happen at any time.

Still searching for the word “China” in your post Mike, cuz that’s kinda what this topic is about. Preach on Mike, preach on…can I get an Amen!!

Anyway back to the topic at hand, I’m curious to see how this is going to shake out with China. I never realized there were so many similarities between what’s happening there and what happened over here. Things have to change when workers start demanding fair treatment and start taking drastic action. This will be interesting to watch. It reminds me of how people were so afraid of the USSR during the whole cold war until it became apparent that they were broke and falling apart. Sometimes things aren’t as good(or bad) as they seem.
