What can be effective ads to put on (Cardboard) bandit signs? I don’t have the cash to splurge on 20 or 30, 18x24 plain white bandit signs and I have heard that using cardboard for bandit signs makes a big difference too.
I need to find creative ways to attract motivated sellers, now that I have a few potential buyers calling me. I’ve searched a few things here and there on this website, but now I need to put some signs to the test and to try to make deals happen. I have an ad in mind, but I am looking for opinions to see if it will work or not. I will post it below. I am also looking for sample ads to use on craigslist to do the same thing. Thanks in advance & have a great weekend.

Honestly, if I saw that sign I would have no idea what you were referring too. “Motivated Sellers for Ca$h” Many “motivated sellers” don’t even know their a motivated seller or what a motivated seller is. Also, what does this mean??? What are you looking to buy??? Cars, Boats, Antiques, Houses, this type of sign would confuse an actual motivated seller because he/she doesn’t know what you’re referring too, then take their business elsewhere. A simple “I Will Buy Your House” “CASH…FAST!” Along w/your phone number will work just fine.
I agree…that message sucks lol. Rule #1 in direct response marketing: your ad needs to speak to the prospect’s needs, not yours. Honestly, they don’t care what you are looking for, they only care about what you can do for them. By putting “motivated sellers” on your sign you’re essentially telling people what YOU are looking for. The world could care less.
Also I’m not too sure how effective a cardboard bandit sign would be. I understand the whole “ugly sells better” theory, but when someone wants to sell their home are they likely to respond to someone who appears unable to afford a normal professionally-printed bandit sign?
See the ugly cardboard signs work great when SELLING houses because you appear to be a normal home seller…less threatening than a business…but IMO a sign to attract sellers should be on sign material and professionally printed, with a direct-response-oriented message.
