Cancel Lease Option Agreement

We are in a lease option agreement contract. Because of financial circumstance we are unable to continue to afford living at the location. We are in need of advice on how to get out of the contract. Is there anyone who can provide some sound advice on how to get out of the contract? We just can not continue to afford it at this time.

You should review your lease contract to determine what if any options are spelled out for early termination of the lease. I would also suggest you contact your landlord and explain the situation and determine if you can agree upon an early exit. I as a landlord would prefer open communication from my tenant as opposed to a surprise vacancy.

I don’t know what your contract says, but if you have a lease, you owe rent until the end of the lease.

I suggest you contact your landlord and see if you can make arrangements to get out of your deal. Sometimes a landlord will allow you to buy your way out of a lease.
