buying on ebay

anyone have experiance buying forclosures on ebay?

how good is a quit claim deed when buying on ebay?

any guesses as to where the market is headed?

any tips on how to do due diligence from overseas[philippines]

thanks

  1. I wouldn’t buy any properties on ebay unless I could see them in person also OR if the price was at or below what the lot is worth.

  2. I’m guessing you aren’t going to get much negotiation or rights when buying those on ebay.

  3. My guess is it will be “bad” for another few months, maybe a year.

  4. What are you wanting to do due diligence on?

thanks

any advice on placing the high bid?

one service zillon??/ says it’s worth 170,000.00

Sounds like you need to get way more educated before pulling the trigger and throwing your money away.

I suggest you need to think about it very carefully then make a good decision.

Keep reading these forums and DO NOT buy a house on ebay.

GooD LucK! :beer

e-bay is an auction. Auctions are designed to get you to pay the most for anything being auctioned. If you bid $5 for a thing and the bid goes to $6 well you will pay $7 for anything you would pay $5 for and you don’t want to be beat out by only a dollar, so you bid higher until it is not a good deal anymore. You get the best deal from a motivated seller. You will probably not find them on e-bay. What is motivated? Well classically the 3 D’s cause motivation. Death, Disease, Divorce. With this subprime foreclosure mess I have since added a fourth D for dumb (those people that took out loans that bit them in the butt)

Shoot I wouldn’t buy a TV off of ebay much less a frickin house lol :biggrin

Can someone clarfy this for me please. Is there a way I can avoid paying import taxes if I buy something from EBAY in the USA? e.g. if they’re marked as a “gift” does that work…?

Yes if the custom form is marked gift or commercial sample then you wont pay taxes, also depend on the price of the item.

the only way i could see purchasing off ebay is if it was an area which you know quite well.

as others mentioned if you could 1. see the property or 2. it was where you’re actively investing

other than that you’re rolling the dice

Investors use ebay to sell, not buy.
