Has anyone ever bought via short sale a property that was listed with a realtor? I saw a listed property that is going into foreclosure in 2 weeks & I know they are asking too much. How has your experience been dealing with the realtor?
From my experience, realtors have been rather reluctant to work with anyone else…they have their hearts set on that commission I suppose. Your best bet would probably be to just wait until the listing agreement expires and then use the expired agreement to your advantage by including it in your short sale package in an attempt to show the bank “Hey, this house is not selling…why don’tcha just give it to me?”
At least that’s what I’d do, but I live in Michigan…not sure what state you’re in.
