Buyer contract help

I have an approved short sale set to close on March 6th. A RE agent has brought in a buyer and I need to know has anyone entered into a sales contract through an RE agent prior to taking title?

I usually bring in my own buyer and use a Letter of intent, but in this case, the agent wants to tie up the buyer into a sales contract.

Any advice?


Not sure what your asking here. Are you basically assigning your interest to the buyer, or are you closing and then selling to the buyer?

The agent wants to protect their fee of course and there are too many cases of sellers, buyers trying to screw their agent, so the agent wants a enforceable contract with someone, the seller or the buyer, nothing wrong with that.

Very few people in the world I would do business with on just a handshake.
