Thanks,

So what is the result of this test? I am not filling out that form. That is for sure.

I really don’t get the issue with using front and back. Business cards are so cheap, print two sets one with front and back and one with front only. If simply handing them out, use the ones with both sides. If you need to write something, give one with the front only.
You should also have another set to hand to professionals that does not have your marketing phone and site if you have dedicated site and phone.

I’d go with using both sides. Business cards are cheap enough to do so. On one side, I would just talk about your business; name, contact info, etc. and on the back, I would just use some action words that describe what you do.

On the back you should put your entire presentation so when the prospect recieves your card and reads what and how you do what you do they can just go to a website and print a contract then fax it to you. I am thinking automation is the key.

Michael,

I am going to mini-CD’s for my business cards, now I can make a full buying presentation with a copy of a State Specific deed that the seller can print out, this way they can just fill out the deed have it notarized and send it to me or I will gladly pick it up.

However, if the gas prices get any higher I will enclose a self addressed, postage paid envelope and forget about picking it up.

Now that’s automation.

Mr Locke…

That CD thingie is brilliant… You could make create presentations in every language and for every prospect type. Plus you could gear the presentation based upon education level of the person.

If you speak English and have less than 3 teeth press the number “One”

If you have more than three teeth and have smoked a doubie in the last 2 weeks press “Two” Dude!

If you just got out of prison for a crime your plead not guilty to press “Three”

I am calling the CD Company now.

Brilliant John

Michael,

You forgot a very important one in case you run into a creative investor.

John maybe I should stop with the rant about the back of cards… It doesnt matter if something is written on the front, back or edge, most investors never take the cards out of the box they were delivered in and hand them out as if when they hand out 1000 business cards they will have won the lottery.

Investors are always looking for the magic and dont stop to understand what they are searching for is all around them if they just use the resources they have created over their life time.

“Press 4” you crack me up!

Michael,

Very good point, I’m sure that going back and forth on what goes on a business card has little to do with what it really takes to become a successful creative investor.

The majority of individuals wanting to become successful investors are thinking Merlin will provide the magic. not true. If you want to become a Magician and are trained by Merlin, you as an individual must apply what you have been taught. If any any magic is to come out of the Magic Wand, it is provided by the investor with his knowledge from what he has been taught.

If you do not wave the creative investing wand in front of a seller, guaranteed nothing is going to happen.

In to many cases it is conventional thinking that spawns failure and is very difficult for some to over come. Take what we do for example, “who in the hell would give us the deed and keep the loan in their name.” We understand that it is done all the time, but to the conventional thinker, this would never happen. There are many reasons that some will not follow through, Conventional Thinking and Fear are two major elements at the top of the list that provide a reason for failure.

For those of you who don’t know…Mr. $Cash$ and Mr. Quarles is in disagreement with me about using both sides of your business cards……

Although only 9 people responded, we will let the results speak for themselves……Almost 80% of the responses use both sides of their business cards……that is 8/10 people……

If you notice there were only 2 people who use only the front of the business card……it is probably the two people we know…ha ha…(or were these new people and both of you decided not to contribute)…
All in fun and games Mr. $Cash$ and Quarles…… :smile….

Great discussion….Now on to the Results……and more discussions. :bigok

ExpertHomeOffers,

Even thinking I voted in your poll would be a stretch of anyone’s imagination.

Michael and I gave you every benefit to have a large poll turnout by continuing to post on this thread rather than just let it die.

The old sayings are accurate, no sense in beating a dead horse or voting in a poll no one cares about.

John $Cash$ Locke

PS: Actually Shaun, I believe you had more response here than on ActiveRain to all your articles, so I guess it is working out for you.

Guys, excellent thoughts about the business cards. Ordering mine now, been putting it off too long.

John, I like you man, :biggrin so for both of our sakes please stop letting me prove you wrong. It is funny that you think you know the traffic generated to my site.

I track all the traffic generated to my websites. I pulled the data over the last 30-days and Active Rain actually sent more traffic then REIclub. REIclub was 88.4% of the traffic generated from Active Rain.

It should be noted that I am targeting different audiences from each site.

The traffic generated from forums is a very small fraction of my website traffic. The majority of my traffic is generated from search engines, Google, Yahoo and MSN. Actually REI was 0.094% of the traffic generated from Google.

That is because I am on the 1st page of these search engines for major search terms.
“sell my house”
“sell my house fast”
“how much is my house worth”
….and many more

So, I hope you can start being civil…or I can keep proving you wrong… :biggrin

Enjoy your Thursday. :biggrin

Active Rain was basically put up for Real Estate Agents, so creative investors do not fair will there, however it will get hits on your web site if for no other reason than out of curiosity.

You win, just can’t compete with responses you receive on your postings.

John $Cash$ Locke

Wow,
Thanks for doing research on my site for me…
You have no clue…Sorry to say it…Yes I do win…I’m not going to put the effort into proving you wrong once again.

Thanks,

Hey Guys,

Let me know if you have any questions. And to put my 2 cents in on this discussion, our marketing campaigns for investing generally include business cards printed on one side only. We like having the back side blank so when I am discussing information with a prospect/client, we are able to write information on the back.

andresh,

Part of your post was against Forum Rules, but here is a way to accomplish the same thing. You are allowed to advertise in your signature. I did not edit your entire post, as the part that was not deleted is the intelligent way of having cards printed.

Go to your Profile at the top of the page, click there, then click on Forum Profile Information, then in the Signature box you can put your web site and any information about your services.

Give it a shot, if you have a problem Private Message me for help.

John $Cash$ Locke

No problem - I have added a signature now. Thanks for the help.
