Does anybody know where to find a contract example for building a spec home. This is a contract that protects an investor in dealing with a builder to make sure that construction costs do not get out of hand.
Also, that the builder completes the home on time.
Any help as to where I can find something like this would be appreciated.

It does not have to be a spec home, does it? Your attorney should draw it up for you. Don’t rely upon some generic format that you might download from some questionable web source.
If your dealing with a large builder then you will have to use there contracts…

Yes, I have an attorney that can modify an existing contract for about $250.00 if he has to build one from scratch then he wants a least $1000.00.
I am just looking to see if there is a contract out there that others have used and be able to modify it to my specific situation.
