We have 2 investment condo rentals in Georgia, and our primary condo in California. What insurance companies offer the best rates for Umbrella coverage? Thanks!!
I found SafeCo to be very good, I think about $225/year for 1mm of liability coverage. They’re pretty good for auto as well.
Start shopping with the company that insures your rentals.
Wells Fargo is the agent that our liability coverage is with, but unfortunately, they don’t offer umbrella coverage in the state of Georgia or Delaware. Safeco sounds reasonable. Thank you!
Why not just increase the liability limits on your hazard insurance policy for each rental to $1 million. I have my landlord policies with State Farm and increasing the liability coverage to $1 million only added about $25 to each policy premium
The umbrella policy gives you broader protection for events that happen related to your rental property, as well as personal liability that might arise from a million different sources.
