Beginner Books

I’ve got a friend doing Short Sales. He’s been coaching me a little bit, but has suggested I either get some books or attend a seminar. Any suggestions on books that would school me in this art? (or similar subjects to short-sales?)

Thanks

Also if anyone knows where I can look up upcoming seminars, please let me know.

You shold be able to google the books, then try add all.com. THis site gives comparisiosn prices of different books You can also try bn.com or amazon.com The book I am currently using as a bible is written by a fl investor in tampa. Thomas J. Lucier. Its called the Pre-Forecclosure Property Investors Kit. He has a website you can go to as well. Naturaly REIclub hosts seminars with well known short sales experts like dwan bent twyford, mark sumpter, donna dorriety, graham treakle to name a few. If you google them, you might find more info. However I do think the forums here a re pretty good info as well. Personally, I decided to go with Tom Kishs version. ITs not as well as organized as some of the other progmras I’ve seen. But he does have weekly calls where he or his partner host where we can get support in answer to our questions. They also do email support as well. Another source for you is your local reiclubs. Go to them. They suually have entrance fess that are resonable. They have a get to know new investors, where you announce what you are looking to do and you make new friends. I just attended one and thought it was pretty interesting. HOpe this helps you. I’m in flrida also. LIve in central but work a JOB in south florida.

Hi, I read that you decided to go with Tom Kish. Has it worked for you? I have been looking at it for some time now and just cant decide if its the real deal or not. Would love to hear your opinion.

He doesnt really have any foreclosure books per se. Just audio recordings where he goes over step by step with his students. It was my first exposure to his foreclosure. SInce then I have bought a number of courses which works out to be the same. Just a different flavor. BTW, his credit program does work, last cc I got from bank of america for my business is 25k. The first one beginning of the year was only 5K but I got the cc company to increase it to 10k immediately.

How did you get the bank to increase the limit so quickly?

call them up and ask them. Just have to make sure your credit score is up there
