Hi,

I have a friend who is moving from NY to Fort Meyers, FL and wants to become a real estate agent. Can anyone comment on what he needs to do to get his license? Is there a website or anywhere he can get the information he’s looking for? Thanks!

just type in “florida real estate license class” in your search engine and you’ll get a ton.

I think, at least here in VA, you have to take 2 tests, the state RE test and the national RE test. After you take the national, then you would take the state. Then you would try to find a good broker…Southeby’s Real Estate would be a great one, everywhere I go they have the top listings.

I live in Fort Myers FL, and i would suggest www.AmeriFlorida.com, i have heard nothing but good things from about this school. You will need to pass the class exam then you can take the state exam. The process takes some time for the state to clear you, so i suggest beggining this process early (prior to starting the class).
