Hey Chuck,

I think if you like the idea of selling houses, and you have a great attitude and you are friendly and sincere, you should go for it…lots of money in selling houses.

About a year and a half ago…I had a friend in North Palm Beach, who was selling homes like craxy when no one else was…He sold something like 57 homes in 4 months, when nobody else was selling homes.

He sole so many that the president and owner of the firm flew out on his jet to meet him because he thought for sure he was doing something illegal, nobody was doing anything remotely to the amount he was doing.

Turns out he was doing nothing more than meditating every night and morning. In addition, he was working his but off 6-7 days a week, but he also in addtiona dded mediation to his daily regimen.

He made enough in 4 months to buy a brand new top of the line Jaguar and payed cash

Good Luck, I hope you become the top salesman in the firm

Hey Michael,

I’m just curious. Did your friend recommend a book on the meditation he did?

Hey Dave,

here is what I’ll try to do. In a perfect world, I would like to have him tell you himself what techniques he used…I don’t know if I will accomplish this, he is real busy as I am also all week.

If I cant set up a call, I will at least get him to lay out what steps he did on a daily basis to achieve the incredible sales volume that he was able, and is still consistently producing.

If I forgot to post a response to you on this topic forum, please dont hesitate to send me a PM reminder on Monday…my memory is not what it used to be.

thanks for your inquiry, have a great evening:)

Thanks Tax. That may just be what I need to start doing.

Hey Chuck,

I think having your license is not necessary to do REI, but it can give you a definite advantage.

You’ll be able to know your area very well.
You’ll have a ton of options if people aren’t able to sell or buy one way, you have creative strategies for them.

And, you’ll be one of the first to know when folks can’t sell their home traditionally.

Additionally some realtors don’t like dealing with ‘investors’. When you make your offers the realtors will be dealing with a colleague, and that can many times get you in.

It definitely think it’s a plus, that’ll help with cash flow and broaden your ability to get deals.

Dennis

thanks for all your comments guys!!! thats exactly what i was thinkin Dennis :beer

Becoming a Realtor is getting a job. I have a job. I want to be in real estate to be a business owner. If you can sell houses you can sell cars. Which one makes more money? That is the one to do.

My mentor said the second worst thing that happens to most people is that they get a job. The worst thing is that once they get a job they get a paycheck. That means that our mind equates wanting money with having a job. That is why real estate agents tell people they are in real estate when they don’t own one square foot of land. Investing in real estate is the path to getting rich. My definition of being rich is when you have a ssets that give you enough money every month to afford your lifestyle without having to “go to work” anymore. Being a Realtor or any job won’t get you there.

Hey Chuck,

What do you do now? What are your ultimate goals?

There are pros and cons for your situation, which is the better option?

I got my real estate license. Didn’t sell any houses, I’m not a salesman. I helped a bunch of people buy houses, invest. I also got a commission when I bought property.

In the end it worked out for me, and went along with my goals. I owned a property management biz so having my license was just another stream of income for me, another perk for my clients, etc.

currently i work in customer service for 10 a hour my goal is to use the real estate license as a stepping stone to have more than one way of real estate first starting off as far as having excess to the MLS and etc…to pretty much start building my business because i also want a property mangement company on the side for the properties i cant have atleast i’ll be able to manage others lol
pretty much i want the business to generate enough to open other doors as well but i want REI as my main focus this is just the condensed version of my goals :biggrin

Chuck,

There’s a lot to think about to getting a RE agent license, especially if you are, or planning on being, a real estate investor as well.

Besides the cost (btw, you need to learn the real costs of being an agent in your area), which may be covered for 6 months, but how about after, you have to consider the legal aspect of being an RE agent.

I can’t go into details because state laws vary so much. This is another area that you’ll have to fully research.

Depending on what type of investing you’re going to be doing, having a RE license may be a hindrance and not a help.

Welcome back Raj!! I was wondering if we’d ever see you again here.

Well thanks, Justin.

I check back from time to time. Just don’t post much anymore.
