I have an option to buy some beachfront property in Washington State. However, I am not sure if I am being sold some plot in Atlantis 
Does anyone know what the laws are in Washington regarding public ownership of the beach? I know in some states, anything below the high tide mark (the yearly or season highest tide) is public.
The idea is, if the property is in the county’s registry of deeds as having a private owner, it must therefore be above the highest tide line. It’s zoned residential, but I am not so sure that means I am not going to have trouble getting a building permit.
