Has anybody ever used the rebath or bath fitter for a out dated quick bathroom rehab? How did it go, how much did it cost? Is the cost worth it? I am talkin about for the whole set the tub and walls, because I know you can get the walls and install them you self but I am not to sure about the tub.
A one peice tub surround is cheaper.I’ve personally not used those guys, but I’ve heard it’s pricey. The last one piece I got was around $250 and vanity are $200.Hope this helps.
Lowe’s sells epoxy paint kits specifically made for repainting old bath tubs. It’s right around $50 for the kit and they stock white and almond colors. One piece tub/showers are great if you can fit them in your bathroom. I ordered a couple to be delivered for our apartments. I was all excited until I realized there was no way to angle them to fit thru the doorway. The tubs were all in good shape so I just bought some shower wall kits and went that route. We had to build the wall and plumb the shower part since the tub was the only part originally installed. The wall kits were about $90 and the adhesive for them was around $20 or so per tub. All in all, each shower cost $250 total when we considered all that and new shower faucets too.
Re-Bath and companies like it are expensive for what they offer…
Like Justin said, you can paint the tub or have it painted, but be careful which cleaners you use after that… It’s not the same…
