Bandit Sign Specifics

I’ve read some people say white with Blue lettering on signs works, but Yellow seems to be the norm.

I got proofs of the white with blue on recycled signs, but I am thinking they may not stand out enough…

Thoughts… or other ideas on signs?

I use white background with blue letters with a good response.

Here’s the thing, when I put out signs, I get calls, when it’s been a while and some of them get taken down I get less calls…

Hmmm. Quite different than what I use for Bandit Sign Marketing. I buy white sign blanks and a big fat black Permanent marker. Then i HAND WRITE the message on the sign, stick 'em on the sign stakes and into the ground they go. Now THOSE colors work GREAT!!!

Bandit signs are the quickest way to get your phone to ring.

Don’t stress on wording/colors, etc. Test 2 or more different ones and you will see which work best for you and your area. The “secret” is putting them up on a regular basis…

Based on marketing research, black on yellow is most readable. Also, it helps piggy back on Homevestors’ colors brand

Fadi,

You brought up a critical point, with all the We Buy Houses signs, what besides receiving phone calls, is very important for future and current business.

A hint, if I say Golden Arches what comes to mind immediately?

How many investors use Branding on their Bandit Signs? Just curious.

Hey everyone,

So I live in Texas and the penalty for bandit signs can go up to $500/sign. That scares me, especially since I haven’t done a deal yet. Now, I had an idea that I’m preparing to put into action. Please tell me what you guys think.

I’m planning on purchasing about 100 of the 18x24, yellow on black bandit signs. My intension is to talk to owners of “mom & pop” shops around my farm area to allow me to put my signs on their business windows. I already have three gas stations in the area where I would like to buy to agree to let me do this. I figured this way, they can’t be taken down by the city, I won’t have to worry about my competition or the weather knocking them down on the streets, and I’ll pay the owner of the business a referral fee if I get a deal out of the sign they allowed me to post on their property. Has anyone used this technique with success?

Thanks,
Leticia

PS. by the way, thanks to the person that suggested www.supercheapsigns.com in a different post! They truly beat anyone else out there with there prices.

Leticia, the reason they are called “bandit” signs is because they are usually done without permits

I’m in San Antonio and we have strict rules as ell. Usually investors get around it by using prepaid phone numbers, or putting the signs up on Friday afternoon and taking them down on Sunday evening. You could always get a permit at $1 per sign

Your concept is the best way to do it, if they let you put the sign there, then heck… push it little more and put your business cards as well!

Fadi,

Thanks for your response. People can buy $1 permits for their signs? I didn’t know that.

I ordered my signs and should arrive in the next few days. Can’t wait to get it going. Will keep you guys posted on the response.
