Attending a Local REI Club for the First Time - What to expect?

Just curious if anyone out there could share some experiences with me. Are there any cliches I should avoid? Like not showing up with every RE book I’ve ever read or something perhaps?

I was thinking of writing something like “Have time to trade” or something on my name tag to give people the impression that I’m willing to help out for tips or help but not have to mention it to everyone I meet. Any thoughts?

Thx.

use the first few meetings to absorb info.

network as much as you can.

Be prepared to talk to others. For me, the main goal of attending any meeting is to network with others.

So be prepared to listen, take it in, bring plenty of business cards so you can hand them out as well. Offer your help to others, no matter the help, that way you build a solid relationship with those that are actually investing. (Those would be the people snickering and gossiping at the rear of the room during the presentation).

Hey, we only do that after the presentation!

thanks. doesn’t sound too tough…

Dang! Our secret is out.
