Assigning contracts

Is assigning contracts illeagel in the state of INDIANA???

No

I have been reading that if you arrange a real estate deal for a fee you need a license…Assigning contracts you have to have a realtor license. Do you have any info saying different? because I am just starting and I faxed a copy of my purchase agrrement to a realtor and I was under the assumption it was ok…I hope I’m not in deep :flush…

As long as you have equitable interest in the property you don’t need a license to flip contracts.

Take advice from Realtors with a grain of salt. Just keep in mind that all they did to get licensed to sell real estate is pass a trivial knowledge test and pay a fee. They aren’t taught what we know. Oddly enough they aren’t even taught how to sell houses!

Your contract with the seller gives you equitable interest in the property (as Mr. Investor wisely eluded). All you’re doing is selling that interest (not the property) to someone else for a fee.

Good luck!
