I’ve seen some rental apps online that ask for this information. What is the point of asking for it? How would you be able to use it? Won’t a credit check and employment verification provide enough financial info?
My application asks for bank account numbers and I ask the prospect to leave it off.
I ask, but don’t require it. If I want, I can get the account number from the check.
